In this introductory class, professional baker Karl Wagner will guide you through the entire process of making whole-grain sourdough breads at home. During the class you'll learn:
Essential equipment and ingredients for baking at home
How to build and maintain a sourdough starter
Basic principles of bread mixing and shaping
The fundamentals of baking artisan breads in a home oven
Following the class, we'll break our freshly baked bread together over a light dinner (BYOB). All students will leave with a loaf of bread and some sourdough starter to continue their baking adventure at home.
